The House

The House – Three centuries ago, a plantation house was built in Louisiana. In that time it has been a plantation, a boarding house, a sanitarium and the shelter for cultists. The house has seen countless cruelties and miseries. It has been a topic of fascination and horror for many students of the paranormal for decades.

One such student is Christopher Bennett, a member of the Silver Twilight Lodge of mystics, psychics and magic. He is plagued with sudden and violent nightmares of some horrific atrocity at the House that has yet to transpire. He urges the lodge to allow him to go to stop it.

But the House is forbidden. The dark forces of that house must never be unleashed upon this world. And the wrong channeling of energies upon it could release any number of tormented spirits out into the world.

Undeterred and convinced that there is grave danger for some unfortunate souls, Christopher convinces his friends Williams and Catherine, to travel to the house with him to avert a major disaster. Thus they travel to Louisiana to see the House first hand.

An old man sits outside, watching. When they question him, he merely says that he's watching to make sure no evil spirits escape. Upon investigating the house they find traces of a dark, eerie history, but nothing currently dangerous. William and Catherine point this out and that they've made the trip and now must return home. They compile some notes to take home and Christopher leaves the House defeated.

That night, after the old man heads home, a group of local teens sneak in to host a rave. Whilst inside, the spectres and wraiths stir and the teens find themselves locked inside a labyrinthine death trap of angry and restless spirits.

Shaken by another nightmare, Christopher insists on returning to the House. Williams and Catherine are extremely skeptical until Christopher begins leaving without them. More concerned for his well being than any actual danger from the House, they travel along.

When they pull up to the House, they are greeted with flashing lights from within and the sounds of screaming. They go to rush in, but the doors are blocked from within. Christopher spies an open window on the second floor. Catherine points out that it could likely be a trap. William points out that they are completely unprepared and at great risk. Christopher states that they cannot just leave these people to their fate, but that he needs them to stay outside as support and try to get help.

As an aside, while William is preparing the equipment, Christopher tells Catherine that he doesn't want either of them entering the House. That if everything goes badly, he at least wants to know they'll have a happy life together. Catherine simply nods, but says nothing.

Inside the House, Christopher finds a living hell on Earth. Blood covers the walls and floor as an eviscerated body lays with the victim still moving in their last death throes. Christopher struggles his way from room to room within the old plantation mansion, trying to keep the ravers alive and use the arcane talisman at his disposal to drive off the dark spirits.

However, unbeknownst to any of the protagonists, the archivist who's records they uncovered is still within the house, keeping the house charge with negative energy and blood sacrifices. Christopher battles through harrowing living nightmares and sadistic spirits of dead soldiers, task masters and cultists as he fights to keep his sanity, his life and save those he came to protect.
